Shotgun Stocks & Restoration
I have restocked many types of old guns. I have experience restocking: single shot rifles, shotguns, lever guns, and many types of bolt action rifles. No matter what material I am using, the goal is always the same, which is to do outstanding quality work that will hold up under repeated use.
There’s nothing more gratifying than rebuilding an old “clunker” into a beautifully restocked work of art. I put a lot of time and effort into achieving a perfect wood to metal fit and beautiful hand rubbed oil finish. It takes even more time to do a truly outstanding job on the fit and finish, but for me, that’s what it’s all about. I will often put 20-30 coats of finish on a piece before checkering it. The perfect compliment to a restocking job is using a rust blue finish on the metal. Again, it takes a lot longer to do than a hot blue finish, but the final product is very beautiful and durable. Rust bluing one project is usually a two day, 20 hour project.
If you have something that holds a lot of nostalgic value to you and would like a quote, please contact me for more information.

Highpower / Varmint Rifles
I have been building and shooting highpower/varmint rifles for many years, the .17hmr and the 6.5/284 being my most popular calibers. I received a “Master” rating from the N.R.A. in 1997 and 1998 in 200,300,600, (highpower) and Highpower, Long range Master--, 800,900,1000 yards.
Whether you are interested in either a wooden or synthetic stocked rifle, I have a lot of experience building them and shooting at long range. I have stocked a lot of rifles using McMillan stocks and have found them to work very well. I have used carbon fiber (Tubb style) and wood as well, all with excellent results. I can also modify any existing stock into something that would be more to your liking. I recommend using a Krieger or Gregory barrel for these rifles.
